The ore is contained in a series of structurally complex lodes of Deflector and South West deposits. An accelerated near mine exploration program coupled with first production from the Southwest deposit make for it busy and exciting future for the Deflector team.THE ROLE:Working closely with our experienced and stable Mine Survey team, you will bring skill and expertise to our successful Deflector Gold Copper Mine. Reporting to the Chief Mine Surveyor, you will deliver all site survey requirements for both the underground and surface aspects of the operation, using up-to-date Leica Total station equipment as well as surface and underground drones.Key responsibilities of this role will include:Maintain accurate survey control of underground workings, surface development and stockpiles.Carrying out detailed surveys for end-of-month volumes and reportingEffective use and maintenance of Leica Total Station equipment, and GPS equipmentEnsure compliance with safety, environmental and statutory regulations, as well as Vault Minerals Surveying standardsGenerate accurate survey data and effectively communicate information to the technical team in a timely mannerEnsure Emergency Plans are up to date and easily accessible (as per regulatory requirements)Produce Mine Plans for regulatory submissions (under the direction and supervision of the appointed Surveyor)Installation of necessary survey control for directional control of miningProduce survey plans and memos as required to a high standardMaintain mining physicals statisticsAssist with compiling monthly reportsAssist/conduct aerial survey work as required using a DJI M200 and Elios 3 Drone and associated processing software, including Pix4D and Global Mapper.ABOUT YOU:You are a motivated Surveyor who has an inquisitive mind, high attention to detail, and drive to continue to grow and develop professionally. Mine Surveyor - Deflector

  • A professional attitude and the ability to work as part of a team or autonomously
  • Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills.
