Job Description:Vault Minerals is currently seeking a suitably qualified Supervisor: Surface Works to join the team at King of the Hills. Reporting to the Mining Manager Open Pits, you will be responsible for supervising the operation of the surface works team of contractors and its equipment. This role will be offered on a FIFO or DIDO 8/6 Roster based at our King of the Hills Operation.Point of hire: PERTH, WAKey responsibilities will include:Always act in a manner that seeks to enhance the safety culture and performance of Vault Minerals.Provide effective, respectful and strong leadership for the contractor to ensure we get the surface works completed to the required standard, cost and schedule and above all else safely. Organise, supervise and execute the surface works projects and maintenance to support the overall operation to achieve it's goals.Coordinate, manage and monitor the safety performance of the surface works contractors.Meet all quality standards including cost, safety, security and environment.Take ownership of the progress of assigned tasks and address any issues.Identify and prioritise improvement opportunities and formulate alternatives to systems and methods.Ensure all team members have clearly defined responsibilities for their roles within surface works projects and maintenance.Assist with and also drive the planning of surface works maintenance and projects.Supervise and monitor all ROM activities.Understand and implement effective change management through the execution and communication of the surface works tasks.Carry out statutory workplace inspections and monitor employees and contractors in their tasks.The surface works projects and maintenance will include but are not limited to site roads, water infrastructure, earthworks, mobile crushing plant and site infrastructure.Key factors to your success include:Experience of mining and civil machinery and possession of competency tickets.Extensive operating experience in earthworks and extensive knowledge of all surface equipment.Proven supervisory experience of heavy mobile equipment in a mining environment.Proven ability to manage safety assessment and control in a busy mining environment.Enjoy solving problems by applying your knowledge, skills, experience and the resources available.Demonstrated planning and forecasting knowledge.Experience using Microsoft Office is essential & using SAP (or similar enterprise software) is desirable.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - you will communicate with every department and at all levels on site.Apply First Aid & Dangerous Goods tickets are desirable.With an exciting future ahead, Vault Minerals is an excellent choice for anyone seeking a rewarding career in the mining industry. Job Description:
