The Deflector Processing Plant produces both gold bullion and copper concentrate via gravity separation, flotation and now, leaching processes. The major CIP expansion in 2021 has demonstrated significant improvement in recoveries and enabled processing of new ore sources, such as the nearby Rothsay mine. This role presents a unique opportunity to take a lead role in reviewing and maintaining training records and procedures, and in ensuring the operations team are trained to a high standard. THE ROLE:As a dedicated and passionate Training Coordinator at the Deflector mine, you will ensure that all personnel receive high-quality training and verification of competency to continue to deliver safe and efficient operations. Reporting to the OHST Manager, you will take ownership of both processing and general site surface operations, maintaining accurate and well-organised records.Key responsibilities include:Delivering internal training courses and arranging external trainingLiaising with senior processing personnel to review and update standard operating procedures and training materialsDeveloping new training modulesUpdating of induction courses and provision of plant orientations for new personnelMaintenance of training records within InTuition, +LMS and InControlProvision of mobile plant training and verification of competencyActive involvement in safety programs and meetingsABOUT YOU:You are personable, inclusive and can develop excellent working relationships within our team.
