This expansion has immediately improved recoveries to around 96% and has enabled processing of new ore sources, including the nearby Rothsay mine and multiple other targets within the Deflector tenement.THE ROLEReporting to and working back to back with the Metallurgy Superintendent, you will provide technical support and leadership to the Processing team, ensuring ore recovery is maximised at all stages of Processing. You will champion safe, efficient and cost-effective ore production, guiding the Metallurgy team and Process Operators to achieve optimal production and exceed targets. Key responsibilities of this role will include:Coach and mentor Metallurgists to ensure production and metallurgical targets are metOversee the day-to-day technical results to ensure production targets are being metTrain and collaborate with the operations team to optimise equipment performanceEnsure budgeted outputs are met or exceededSeek out opportunities for continuous improvementTest, review and assess new technologiesOversee the laboratory’s output and error rate, reporting variances and improving workflowsManage the implementation and roll out of improvement projectsEffective metallurgical data management and analysisCoordinate with Mining and Geology departments for impacts on plant performance of new ore sourcesOperate and Maintain fixed guage and x-ray equipment in the role of Radiation Safety officerDemonstrate safety leadership and accountability in the Plant.ABOUT YOUYou are a talented, highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced team environment and is an innovative problem solver.
