This is an exciting and unique opportunity to establish a business in the WA’s beautiful Mid-West, supported by Silver Lake. You will be contributing to the success of our new Rothsay Gold mine while also providing an important service to nearby communities. The Rothsay Mine is located north-north east of the Perth metro area and around 70km East of the Town of Perenjori. This role is a residential position based in Perenjori and will provide Water maintenance services at the Rothsay mine site for 2 days per week. The remaining 3 days per week will be available for you to establish a private Plumbing business that provides services to local commercial properties and residents in surrounding local communities.The Perenjori Shire is part of the WA Wildflower trail and is home to around 800 residents, most of which are involved in the agriculture industry. Town facilities include a Primary school, Early Childhood centre, Sports club, Cricket & Football team, Golf course, Aquatic Centre, Gym and a traditional country pub.THE ROLE:Some key responsibilities of this role will include:Inspection, management and preventative maintenance of Rothsay Potable Water and WWTP plant and infrastructure;Plumbing, pipefitting and Maintenance as requested on Rothsay Village and all site buildings;Project manage any small to medium scale plumbing infrastructure upgrades;Periodic inspection, management and preventative maintenance of all safety showers, ac/ventilation systems;Plan maintenance schedules and make recommendations for improvements;Plumbing maintenance and installation for Shire commercial buildings, schools, residential premises and civil infrastructure.ABOUT YOU:As an experienced Plumbing professional, you will bring your broad technical expertise and good-natured approach to this unique role. You have a positive attitude with excellent communication skills and the ability to become a valued part of the community. You must have:Trade qualification in Plumbing/Gas Fitting;Plumbing contractor’s licence with relevant ABN and current insurances;Demonstrated experience in maintaining and troubleshooting RO plants and WWTP;High level of knowledge in maintaining a variety of pumps;Good understanding of maintenance of a wide range of commercial and residential plumbing systems;C Class Driver’s licence;LF forklift ticket, Confined Space and Work at Heights tickets are preferred.What will be provided:A generous base salary provided by Silver Lake;3- or 4-bedroom Residential property and business incubator in Perenjori town;Work vehicle;Business promotion through the Perenjori, Yalgoo and Morawa Shires;The opportunity to be currently the sole in-residence Plumbing service provider in the local communities of Perenjori, Morawa and Yalgoo.You will be expected to work Monday to Friday, around 8 hours per day.
