The ore is contained in a series of structurally complex lodes, namely the Deflector and Deflector Southwest deposits.Reporting to the Mill Foreman, The Mill Shift Supervisor will take ownership and accountability for the safe and optimal operation of the Processing plant, ROM and Tailings facilities by their crew while on shift. You will champion best practice within your team, while ensuring operators are continuously developed and upskilled in new areas of the plant. You will build excellent working relationships with your cross shift and back-to-back Supervisors, ensuring consistent and smooth overall operation of the Processing plant.The Deflector Processing Plant produces both Gold bullion and Copper concentrate, and has recently undergone a major expansion to add a CIP circuit to the existing crushing, grinding, Gravity separation and Floatation circuits. This expansion has immediately improved recoveries to around 96% and has enabled processing of new ore sources, including the nearby Rothsay mine and multiple other targets within the Deflector tenement.The position will be offered as an 8:6, 7:7 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO from Geraldton and surrounding areas.Key responsibilities of this role will include:Supervision of the Process Operations team, working across a number of unit processes including ROM, Gold Room, Crushing, Grinding, Flotation, Leaching, Thickening, Filtration and Concentrate Bagging /Containerising, TSF and water management.Ensuring that all work is carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with approved systems and processes.Ensuring that all personnel are adequately trained to perform the allocated responsibilities.Establishing and monitoring process plant reliability and performance to agreed targets.Monitoring and managing operational activities to ensure compliance with statutory compliance.Working closely with the maintenance team in the monitoring and planning of maintenance activities; andDaily, weekly and monthly reporting.ABOUT YOUThe successful candidate will possess the following:Previous supervisory experience in an operating gold processing plant operation is essential.  Excellent working knowledge in the operation of ROM, Crushing, Grinding, gravity separation, Flotation, Thickening, Leaching, Elution, Filtration and Concentrate Bagging /Containerizing, TSF and water management (preferably copper/gold).Working knowledge and understanding of the WA Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations.WHS for Statutory Supervisor Training/Qualification (Schedule 26).Excellent organisational, time management and interpersonal skills.Good working application of process plant systems and reporting.A strong commitment to training, mentoring and development.A proven history in proactively managing performance standards and instilling accountability.Hold a current C Class driver's license and Senior First Aid Certificate.The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.An industry-benchmarked salary and the opportunity to join an established, stable, and financially secure company are on offer to attract people who want to make a long-term commitment to an organisation.  OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS:As part of our recruitment process, we require a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screen and a National Police Clearance.If you would like to join us on our growth journey, please apply now.Vaults Minerals kindly requests that agencies do not send unsolicited resumes unless specifically invited to do so.
