About KOTH:
King of the Hills (KOTH) is the flagship operation of Vault Minerals Limited and one of the largest gold mines in Australia. After a significant expansion, KOTH now features a 4.7 million tonne per annum (Mtpa) processing plant, providing a solid platform for long-term production growth. This dynamic operation combines open-pit and underground mining, with exciting exploration activities driving the future.  KOTH is located approximately 900 km northeast of Perth and 25 km north of Leonora, within the Goldfields Region of Western Australia.

Job Description:
Vault Minerals is looking for a Geology Technician to join our team at the King of the Hills Gold Mine. This role is responsible for above ground and underground technical work comprising of face sampling, mapping, stockpile sampling, core processing, cutting, sampling, and lab submissions to external labs. The Geology Technician also assist’s with the development and implementation of systems, writing procedures and liaising with underground drilling and mining contractors.

This role is offered on a 8/6 roster-  FIFO from Perth.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Promote and maintain a culture of safety, adhering to Vault Minerals' safety standards.
• Conduct face mapping and sampling, backs and walls mapping, stope inspections, and other geology related tasks.
• Stockpile sampling.
• Data entry tasks as required.
• Assisting with the improvement and development of grade control processes.
• Completion of core preparation, RQD, Q` logging, core cutting and sampling (including dispatch).
• Assisting mine geologists regarding field duties, data collection, and collation.
• Weekly and monthly consumable stocktakes for the underground and core processing.
• Assist with QAQC tracking, documentation, and lab audits.
• Completion of field and underground projects as designated by the Senior UG technician and/or Senior Geologists.

Key factors to your success include:

• 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Acquire software knowledge (desirable)
• Experience in gold (desirable)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• 4x4 wheel driving competency
• Forklift Licence (desirable)
• WA Driver’s Licence – C Class
• Australian Working Rights
