Vacation Metallurgy Student  (Mount Monger Operations)Working as part of the Mount Monger Operations south-east of Kalgoorlie, you will provide support to highly experienced Metallurgy Professionals while giving you exposure to both the processing and metallurgy activities of the site. You will work closely with Mill Supervisors, Plant Metallurgists and Mill Operators in this diverse and interesting role, giving you the opportunity to sound out where you would like to focus your career beyond graduation.Key responsibilities of this role will include:Operate sections of the processing plant, (crushing / grinding / flotation/ dewatering);OSA calibration sample taking to build regression dataset (improving the OSA accuracy);Met accounting and met daily checks exposure – basic plant met understandings;Completed a test work flotation project and report; andProvide support to other metallurgy-related activities as required.About YouYou are an enthusiastic, hardworking, motivated individual with a passion for Metallurgy and a high attention to detail. To be considered for these roles, you will;Have recently completed your 2nd or 3rd year of study towards a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Metallurgy;Have a current, manual "C" class Western Australian driver’s licence;Be able to obtain a National Police Clearance;Be physically able to undertake manual work, and meet the requirements of a pre-employment medical examination; andReturn a clear drug and alcohol test, both at the pre-employment medical and at all times during your employment.Working ConditionsWe are offering the successful candidate the opportunity to work in an interesting and diverse role on a FIFO from Perth and be part of a small, committed and friendly team.This role will commence late November to early December 2021 until mid February 2022;The roster cycle will be 8 days worked followed by 6 days rostered off.
