Silver Lake Resources has a new opening for an experienced Underground Safety and Training Advisor for our Daisy Milano and Maxwells underground Mines at our Mount Monger Operation. This role will suit an underground safety trainer who likes to get hands on and engage with the workforce. Passionate about safety, you will demonstrate your ability to deliver sound training and operating knowledge to personnel in the use of underground mining activity, including load and haul machinery, development and production charging and air leg mining.Applicants must have previous experience in underground mining in an OHS capacity. The following skills, qualifications and experience are required:Previous experience in a similar roleExperience in the maintenance and development of underground training programs / plansCertificate IV in Workplace Training and AssessingCertificate IV OHSExperience in working in an underground mining environment.Working knowledge of the WA Mines Safety and Inspection Act and RegulationsICAM or Taproot TrainedCertificate II First Responder (wilingl to obtain)Competencies in confined space and work at heights assessment / permit management.Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word and ExcelPreferable but not essential:A WA Underground Supervisors Certificate of CompetencyCertified Ventilation OfficerExperience with INX softwareThis position is a daily DIDO 4:3 roster and is ideally suited to a Kalgoorlie resident.
