Senior Desktop Support Analyst

We are looking for a site-based Senior Desktop Support Analyst to take responsibility for delivering and maintaining IT projects and network support to operations, and ensure continuity of ITC deliverables during expansion works. Based primarily at the Deflector mine, this role will also take on responsibility for supporting the nearby Rothsay Mine which commenced in August last year. Working back to back with Desktop Support Analyst, you will assist the Perth-based IT Manager to deliver support and project work to high level of quality and customer service.Key areas of responsibility for this role include:Take a lead role in ensuring overall ITC service delivery at the Deflector and Rothsay minesEnsuring service desk tickets are effectively managed and service levels are exceededEnsuring clients are kept up to date with resolution efforts on current incidentsContributing to the documentation of IT Policies and ProceduresLogging calls in the ticketing system, and to update calls as action is takenInstalling and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scannersInstalling, investigating, diagnosing and solving computer software and hardware faultsManaging stocks of equipment, consumables and other suppliesInstalling and maintaining operating systems, network and application software on desktop computersMaintaining regular housekeeping procedures, including data de-duplication, data backups, network optimisation and storage optimisationConducting training in systems use and accessContinuously monitoring and maintaining system access and securityABOUT YOU:You are a driven and motivated IT professional who thrives in a fast-paced and demanding environment. Your critical thinking and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines will see you excel in this role.As a minimum you must have the following qualifications, skills and experience:Experience in or sound knowledge of Microsoft technologies, such as Active Directory and MS Office suiteOutstanding organisational skills to manage high volumes of cases and deal with multiple clients and vendorsBasic understanding of network technologies, such as switching, routing, and firewalls.Knowledge in Windows Server 2008 R2 / 2012 / 2016; Microsoft Exchange 2010 / 2013 / 2016 & Windows 7/8.1/10At least 6 years’ experience in a similar roleBasic understanding of Networking (LAN, VLAN, TCP/IP etc…)Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated commitment to providing a high level of customer service.Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to nontechnical staffThis permanent  position will report to the Perth-based IT Manager, working an 8:6 FIFO roster.
