With structurally complex quartz-hosted mineralisation, including numerous occurrences of visible Gold, Daisy presents an exceptional opportunity for a Geologist looking for the challenge of maximising ore recovery from a unique Gold deposit.THE ROLEWe are looking for an experienced Project Geologist to join the Daisy team to take ownership of the underground grade control function, ensuring ore development is mined to optimise stope extraction. Working closely with the Senior Mine Geologist, you will provide input into the planning and implementation of Drill programmes, reconciliation and modelling of the deposit.Key responsibilities of the role will include:Design, monitor and log grade control drilling programsAccurately delineate the orebody ahead of miningMonitor actual development and stoping compared to planned, including the grade, lithology and overbreakEnsure all plans and sections are updated with production, survey and drilling dataAssist with the interpretation of the grade control data to produce wireframe modelsAssist in the production of grade control block modelsEffectively communicate geological, geotechnical and grade information to Mining Contractor and Technical Services teamMentor and lead Geologists and Technicians to excel in their rolesIdentify specific areas that have the potential for improvement and cost savingsTake on the role of the Senior Mine Geologist in their absenceABOUT YOUYou are a collaborative and motivated individual, who is a committed team player with strong interpersonal skills. Your can-do attitude and attention to detail will ensure optimisation of ore recovery as you pass on your expertise to those around you.You have:Tertiary qualifications in Geology are essentialDemonstrated experience in an Underground Mining environmentPrevious experience in a Project Geologist roleNarrow-vein Gold deposit experience would be preferredA sound understanding of underground grade control processes, including diamond drillingCurrent C-class WA drivers licenceWorking knowledge and understanding of the WA Mines Safety and Inspection Act and RegulationsHave excellent communication and interpersonal skillsExperience with Datamine, Datashed, Supervisor and Leapfrog would be advantageousThis is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic, narrow-vein Gold mining environment as part of an established team.
