Mill Shift Supervisor

THE ROLEThe Mill Shift Supervisor will take ownership and accountability for the safe and optimal operation of the Processing plant, ROM and Tailings facilities by their crew while on shift. You will champion best practice within your team, while ensuring operators are continuously developed and upskilled in new areas of the plant. You will build excellent working relationships with your cross shift and back to back Supervisors, ensuring consistent and smooth overall operation of the Processing plant.Day to day responsibilities will include:Supervision of the Process Operations team, working across a number of unit processes including ROM, Gold Room, Crushing, Grinding, Flotation, Leaching, Thickening, Filtration and Concentrate Bagging /Containerising;Ensuring that all work is carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with approved systems and processes;Ensuring that all personnel are adequately trained to perform the allocated responsibilities;Establishing and monitoring process plant reliability and performance to agreed targets;Monitoring and managing operational activities to ensure compliance with statutory compliance;Working closely with the maintenance team in the monitoring and planning of maintenance activities; andDaily, weekly and monthly reporting.ABOUT YOUYou are a switched-on, positive individual who is passionate about driving strong team culture and high standards of safe work practices and housekeeping. You will bring a high level of experience in gold processing and a commitment to passing on your extensive knowledge to newer Operators.Other required experience includes:Previous supervisory experience in an operating gold processing plant operation is essential;An excellent working knowledge in the operation of gravity separation, flotation and leaching processes (preferably copper/gold);Excellent organisational, time management and interpersonal skills;Good working application of process plant systems and reporting;A strong commitment to training, mentoring and development;A proven history in proactively managing performance standards and instilling accountability;Hold a current C Class driver's license and Senior First Aid Certificate;Working knowledge and understanding of the WA Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations;The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;The Deflector Processing Plant produces both gold bullion and copper concentrate via gravity separation, flotation and now, leaching processes.  The recent major CIP expansion has demonstrated significant improvement in recoveries and enabled processing of new ore sources, such as our newly established Rothsay mine.
