Database Administrator

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join the exploration & geology team in our Perth Office as a Database Administrator. This position manages all aspects of the company’s geological databases. Key responsibilities of this role include: Administration of geological databases and database related activities.Develop and maintain geological database software,systems, procedures and standards. Managing software system licences, optimisation of existing data software and evaluation of new software solutions.  Assess user requirements across the organisation and plan, develop, configure and maintain geological databases and their accompanying documentation and protocolsEnsuring the integrity, security and accessibility of any collected data.Applying geological knowledge to database administration Management of database providers (Datashed) and contractors.Mentoring and troubleshooting for geology and other staff on database related tasks.Assist with generating JORC compliant datasets The successful candidate will be able to meet the following selection criteria:A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar roleFormal qualifications in Information TechnologyExcellent database management proficiency withMS SQL ServerVisual Studio / SSISDatashedA relevant bachelor degree (desirable)A background in mining and exploration practicesKnowledge of the JORC Code as relating to data reporting standards and submissionsExperience with working on interdisciplinary teams Please address each of the above criteria in your cover letter.   If this role sounds like the challenge you are looking for then please click ‘Apply Now’ and follow the prompts.   Silver Lake’s preference is to deal with candidates directly and therefore agencies’ applications will not be considered at this stage.    AUD Kalgoorlie - Boulder
