An exciting contract opportunity has become available for a motivated Core Logging Geologist to join our Mount Monger Geology team 60 kilometres SE of Kalgoorlie. This is a contract position for a minimum of 9 months with the possibility to extend to 12 months.Key Responsibilities of the role include the following:Ensure all geological tasks are completed safely and in accordance with company policies, procedures, systems and Mine Regulations and Safety Inspection Acts.The ability to work autonomously and within a small team.Attention to detail when recording lithology, mineralisation and structure.Assignment of sample intervals to accurately capture mineralisation.Maintain data integrity in the site database.Good communication with other geologists and the drilling contractor.Assist with the supervision and coordination of Geological Assistants.Ensure compliance with Mount Monger Geology processes and procedures.This role is an integral part of the Geology team and it is therefore essential that the incumbent can demonstrate the following:Tertiary qualification in Geology (BSc. Geology or Applied Geology)Experience in diamond drill core logging and sampling of Archean Orogenic gold mineralisation would be an advantage.Highly computer literate, proficiency with Microsoft Office.Familiarity with Datashed and LogChief software would be highly regarded.Current WA "C" Class Driver’s License.Please address each of the above criteria in your cover letter.
