Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs to mechanical equipment in the plant, borefields, site infrastructure and accommodation village. The successful applicant will work as part of a busy and established Fixed Plant Maintenance team, ensuring all work is completed in a safety focused manner. A further responsibility will be to contribute to a collaborative and cohesive work environment, ensuring plant equipment is maintained to high level availability.In this role you will be additionally responsible for;Monitoring and maintaining a range of gold processing fixed plant equipment including jaw & cone crushers, conveyors, chutes, mills, screens and pumps.Onsite fabrication of various types of equipment.Scoping and fabrication of new installs and upgrade projects.We are looking for a skilled professional who will be able to anticipate needs and react quickly to ensure all plant equipment is functional. The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple demands on their time in a calm and considered manner. They will also have the ability to work autonomously and in a team when required.To be successful the following are required: Trade qualified with at least 5 years’ post trade experiencePrevious gold mine site, fixed plant and heavy industrial experienceCapable of working to scheduled planned work program.Strong fabrication experience with a high level of drawing interpretation.Safety focused with ability to conduct safe risk assessments.CN ticket, Basic Rigging, Confined Space, WAH & EWP tickets all regarded favourably.Enthusiasm, positive attitude and eagerness to take on challenging projects.Ability and knowledge of maintenance and planning processes.Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and to provide current police clearance.Working knowledge of PRONTO or similar program would be advantageous.This position is situated at our Randalls gold processing facility and is a Kalgoorlie residential role on an 8/6 roster.
